Laura Vandervoort
Her first appearance as an actor in 1997, at the age 13 years old. In 1997, after taking numerous classes, and working as a background actor in Canadian programs like Road to Avonlea and Harriet the Spy and Harriet the Spy, she was offered her first acting role on the Canadian Children's Horror anthology Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, both series were aired by YTV. "2" after commercials and a the role she played in Goosebumps as well as other movies, such as The Dresden Files (Mom's had a Date with a Vampire, Alley Cats Strike, Prom Queen, The Marc Hall Story) Vandervoort was offered a leading role in CTV's popular teen drama Instant Star. The series ran for four seasons. Vandervoort's debut film, The Lookout, was launched in the year 2006. The film starred Jeff Daniels along with Matthew Goode as well as Isla Fischer. Vandervoort was cast as Smallville the serial drama on The CW. The role she plays was Clark Kent's Kryptonian "Kara Kent" as the character who will turn into Supergirl. Season 7, she was a regular in the series. In season 7, she was in "Bloodline" in the eighth season's episode. The show returned to Smallville for two more episodes in the finale season and was also her 10th season. Vandervoort directed the sequel to Into the Blue, titled Into the Blue 2 - The Reef. The Jazzman was her next independent film. It also featured Canadian stars Michael Ironside and Corey Sevier.
