Her first appearance as an actor in 1997, at the age 13 years old. In 1997, after taking numerous classes, and working as a background actor in Canadian programs like Road to Avonlea and Harriet the Spy and Harriet the Spy, she was offered her first acting role on the Canadian Children's Horror anthology Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, both series were aired by YTV.
