Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, born in Wellington,) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Paquin, born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's acting debut was in the role of Flora McGrath. For this part, she was awarded the Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress in The romantic drama The Piano at the young age of 11. She is the second youngest recipient in Oscar history. Following a prompt for auditions, she was able to audition at the age of nine, and with little previous experience in acting the actress was chosen for Flora McGrath's part. Flora is the child of a Scottish pianist who was mute. The couple relocated to New Zealand during the middle of the 19th century in order to get married. When she was a teenager, she moved to the United States. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. In addition, she played an important part in Fly Away Home, a movie from that same year. Paquin was Frankie Addams in a 1997 television movie adaptation of Carson McCullers's novel The Member of the Wedding and also played a part in the role of Queen Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She was a teenager in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) and played the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
